The speculation is over: AC/DC, the iconic Australian hard rock band, has officially announced their 2025 “Power Up” Tour. This highly anticipated tour will see the group performing in stadiums across the United States, starting on April 10 in Minneapolis and concluding on May 28 in Cleveland. While San Diego’s Petco Park is not on the itinerary, fans in the area can catch the band at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl on April 18, offering a nearby option for Southern California audiences.\n\nThis marks AC/DC’s first North American tour in nearly a decade. The last time they toured the continent was during 2016’s “Rock or Bust” Tour, which saw lead vocalist Brian Johnson step down partway through due to severe hearing issues.

To complete the tour, Axl Rose stepped in as a guest vocalist, filling a pivotal role during Johnson’s absence. Now, Johnson’s return to the stage adds a sense of excitement and anticipation for fans.\n\nBrian Johnson, who joined the band in 1980 after the tragic death of Bon Scott and debuted on the landmark Back in Black album, will once again front the band for this tour.

He will be joined by the legendary guitarist Angus Young, the only remaining original member of the band. Together, they are set to bring the unmistakable AC/DC sound back to their fans across the country.\n\nThe rest of the lineup for the “Power Up” Tour includes rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, the nephew of founding member Malcolm Young, who passed away in 2017.

Stevie has been a fixture in the band for several years. Joining him are drummer Matt Laug, a former member of Slash’s Snakepit who replaced Phil Rudd following legal troubles in 2015, and bassist Chris Chaney, known for his work with Jane’s Addiction, stepping in for longtime bassist Cliff Williams, who retired in 2016.\n\nWith this powerful lineup, the “Power Up” Tour not only celebrates AC/DC’s storied past but also demonstrates their ability to adapt and continue delivering their signature sound. Fans across the U.S. are eagerly awaiting the chance to experience the band’s high-energy performances, marking a triumphant return to North American stages.
