Terengganu FC has announced the mutual termination of its contract with head coach Tomislav Steinbrückner, effective October 1, 2024. Steinbrückner, who took over the team in December 2022, will be succeeded by his assistant, Badrul Afzan Razali, as the interim coach.
This decision follows a series of coaching changes within the Malaysian football scene. Notably, Terengganu FC had previously dismissed coach Ahmad Yusof in March 2016 due to the team’s poor performance. Additionally, in February 2025, Badrul Afzan Razali was confirmed to have departed from his role as head coach, marking the end of an era for the club.
These developments highlight the dynamic nature of coaching positions in Malaysian football, with clubs frequently reassessing their leadership to improve team performance.
