Orlando, FL – Carnival Cruise Line has announced an exciting new opportunity for high school students with the launch of its “Fun-ternship Program.” This initiative is designed to provide hands-on experience in port operations, offering young learners a unique glimpse into the behind-the-scenes workings of one of the world’s largest cruise lines.

The program, set to take place at the Port Canaveral terminal in Orlando, will give students practical exposure to key aspects of cruise terminal management, including logistics, customer service, and safety protocols. Participants will work alongside Carnival’s seasoned professionals to gain valuable insights into the cruise industry and develop skills that could help shape their future careers.

Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, expressed enthusiasm about the program. “We are thrilled to introduce the Fun-ternship Program, which aligns with our commitment to community engagement and education. This initiative will not only provide students with real-world experience but also inspire them to explore career opportunities in the maritime and hospitality industries.”

Local high school students can apply for the program through their schools, with applications opening later this month. Selected students will participate in structured training sessions, guided tours, and interactive workshops led by industry professionals.

Port Canaveral officials also welcomed the initiative, highlighting its potential to cultivate future talent in Florida’s thriving tourism and maritime sectors.

With this program, Carnival Cruise Line continues its tradition of innovation and community involvement, offering students an invaluable opportunity to learn, grow, and set sail toward promising career paths.
