Ja’Marr Chase Likely to Be Sidelined Due to Shoulder Injury
According to a report, the Cincinnati Bengals are facing challenges due to injuries to key players. Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is unlikely to participate in Saturday’s game against the Steelers, as per information from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Chase is contending with a shoulder injury sustained in Cincinnati’s Week 15 victory over Minnesota. Rapoport’s tweet suggests that Chase is expected to be sidelined for the upcoming game against the Steelers, and the absence may extend beyond that.
In the current season, Chase has recorded 93 receptions for 1,156 yards and seven touchdowns. In his potential absence, the team will look to Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd as the primary wide receiver options, while Trenton Irwin, Andrei Iosivas, and Charlie Jones are also anticipated to receive playing time on offense.
The Bengals, with an 8-6 record, currently hold the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoff standings. They are scheduled to face the Steelers on Saturday, followed by a matchup against the Chiefs on New Year’s Eve, and concluding the regular season against the Browns on January 7.
