Rams Coach Raheem Morris praises the agile and intelligent abilities of Giants QB Tyrod Taylor.
The enthusiasm surrounding Tommy DeVito appears to have diminished for the New York Giants, as they are opting to go back to quarterback Tyrod Taylor for this week’s start against the Los Angeles Rams.
Following the injury to starting quarterback Daniel Jones earlier in the season, the Giants found themselves in a somewhat uncertain quarterback situation. However, Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris is not underestimating the veteran Taylor. Morris recognizes that Taylor remains a formidable force, especially when plays break down.
While acknowledging that Taylor’s athleticism may have slightly declined, Morris emphasizes that he still possesses the ability to maneuver within the pocket, manipulate it, move up or step out, and pose a threat with his feet if necessary. Taylor’s skill in creating time and finding open receivers is highlighted by Morris, noting that this has been a consistent strength for him.
In the current season, Taylor has accumulated 725 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.
The Rams are set to face Taylor and the Giants in a 10 a.m. PT kickoff at the Meadowlands in New Jersey on Sunday. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
