The coaching staff at Tennessee has prioritized Dodson early in the recruiting process. He initially attended a Tennessee camp on June 4th, 2022, and later went on an unofficial visit for the Alabama game in 2022. The Vols extended an offer to Dodson in January 2023, and since then, he has participated in a junior day, a camp, and another unofficial visit for the Texas A&M game. Currently ranked as the No. 533 prospect in the 2025 class according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Dodson shared insights into his recruitment.

Dodson expressed that his recruitment has been smooth so far and mentioned consistent communication from Tennessee, Missouri, Cincinnati, and Mississippi State throughout the process. When discussing Tennessee’s approach, Dodson stated, “I definitely feel like a priority. I talk to someone from the staff almost every day and have great relationships with them all.” He highlighted the efforts of Coach Heupel, who visited him during the December contact period and consistently conveys Tennessee’s desire to have him join the team.

In addition to Tennessee, Dodson discussed the attention he receives from Missouri and Cincinnati, emphasizing the positive relationships he has developed with both coaching staffs. He also mentioned upcoming plans, including a visit to a Tennessee junior day on February 3rd, and expressed a desire to take his time in the recruiting process, indicating that he won’t be narrowing down his list anytime soon.

When asked about his relationship with the Tennessee coaching staff, specifically with wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope and head coach Josh Heupel, Dodson described it as “really good,” noting frequent communication and strong connections with his family. In terms of recruitment efforts from fellow players, Dodson mentioned that his quarterback, Aidan Glover, a Missouri signee, has been actively advocating for him.

Looking ahead, Dodson shared his intention to keep an open mind during the January contact period, suggesting that new schools could potentially enter the mix. Overall, Dodson appears to be navigating his recruitment with a measured and deliberate approach, keeping multiple options on the table as he evaluates his collegiate choices.
