Bru McCoy to Make a Comeback in 2024

Tennessee fans worldwide can breathe a sigh of relief as Bru McCoy officially declares his return to Tennessee for another year on Rocky Top. McCoy has proven to be a formidable weapon for the Volunteers over the past two seasons. In the most recent season, he contributed 17 receptions, one touchdown, and 217 yards before a severe injury sidelined him for the remainder of the 2023 season. In the preceding season, McCoy showcased his skills with 52 receptions, four touchdowns, and 667 receiving yards while playing alongside Biletnikoff award winner Jalin Hyatt and former 1000-yard receiver Cedric Tillman.

Tennessee has strengthened its offensive arsenal with notable additions. Among them is Chris Brazzell, a threat acquired during the early stages of the transfer portal season. Brazzell, an All-American freshman, revealed on December 21st that he would be joining Tennessee after an impressive season at Tulane, where he amassed 44 receptions for 711 yards and five touchdowns. Another valuable addition is Holden Stars, the top-ranked tight end in the transfer portal, who comes from Notre Dame with 15 catches for 176 yards and four touchdowns. The Volunteers also secured promising recruits, including five-star Mike Matthews and four-star Braylon Staley. While the composition of the wide receiver room is undergoing changes, it promises to be a forceful and dominant unit.
