Wesley Walker Declares the Transfer Location
The opening of the transfer portal caused a mass exodus of players from Tennessee’s secondary. One of the contributors who went through the portal was Wesley Walker, a defensive back who was a key member of the Vols in 2022 and 2023. In his two seasons in Knoxville, Tennessee, Walker racked up 56 tackles, six pass deflections, two sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception.
On Monday morning, he revealed his new transfer destination. Walker, who began his collegiate career with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets before transferring to Tennessee, will play football for the Louisville Cardinals in the upcoming season. This will mark Walker’s return to the ACC.
The Tennessee football team is currently in its offseason. After finishing the season, the Vols are concentrating on building their roster for 2023.
