Nick Hayes Extends Loan Spell at Solihull Moors with Ipswich Town

Nick Hayes, who joined Andy Whing’s side a month ago, has secured a loan extension after delivering standout performances, including two clean sheets in six appearances. Notably, he played a crucial role in the 2-0 victory over league leaders Chesterfield on Boxing Day.

Currently positioned fourth in the table, Solihull Moors aim to enhance their standing in the playoff spots as they face Halifax Town tonight. Hayes, partnering with former Town loanee Richard Stearman, expressed his delight at extending his loan, praising the team’s camaraderie and the support staff.

The 24-year-old, who had a successful loan stint at Southend United earlier in the season, returned to Ipswich Town in January 2022 from Hemel Hempstead Town. A product of the Town academy, Hayes, contracted until the summer, is yet to make a senior appearance for Ipswich.

Other Ipswich Town players currently out on loan include Corrie Ndaba (Kilmarnock), Idris El Mizouni (Leyton Orient), Panutche Camara (Charlton), Gassan Ahadme (Cambridge United), Zak Bradshaw (Woking), Cameron Stewart (Cove Rangers), Jack Manly/Michael Lavin (Leiston), Seth O’Neill/Paul Moodie (Stowmarket Town), Finley Barbrook/Henry Gray (Chelmsford City), Matt Ward (Braintree Town), Nico Valentine/Emmanuel Okunowo (Needham Market), Jesse Ayoola/Danny Cullum/Ben Haddoch (Ipswich Wanderers), Woody Williamson (Cheshunt).
