Jaylan Morgan Discusses Tennessee and Other College Football Teams.

Tennessee is actively pursuing another local talent, Jaylan Morgan, a 6-0, 180-pound safety in the 2025 class from Rockvale High School in Rockvale, Tennessee. Steve Wilfong from 247Sports crystal-balled him to Tennessee in November, and he currently holds the No. 227 spot in the 2025 cycle according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. Morgan shared insights into his recruitment in a conversation with Volunteer Country.

Reflecting on his overall recruitment experience, Morgan expressed satisfaction, stating, “It’s been great. There have been a lot of appealing conversations with coaches about how certain teams operate within their organization. I’m just trying to narrow it down.” Notably, he mentioned consistent contact from Alabama, USC, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Stanford, emphasizing that these schools have made him feel like a priority through frequent communication, opportunities to connect with coaching staff, and invitations to various events.

Morgan provided specific insights into each school’s efforts:

– USC: “They send me the most letters and messages out of all of the colleges.”
– Wisconsin: “They reach out to me pretty often.”
– Stanford: “They have only offered a couple of kids at my position, and they seem to put me at the top of my class.”
– Alabama: “They reach out to me often, and they send me mail; they also constantly want me involved in activities.”
– Tennessee: “They reach out to me almost every other day, checking up on me and inviting me to events they have, whether it’s games or visits.”

Delving deeper into his connection with Tennessee, Morgan revealed a close relationship with the coaching staff, particularly mentioning Coach Banks, Coach ET, and Coach Danny. He emphasized that the Tennessee staff makes him feel like a priority beyond just discussions about football.

Regarding future visits, Morgan shared, “This summer, I will have all my visits planned out, but I am going to hit as many as I can, so I know I’m making the best decision.” Tennessee appears to be in a strong position in Morgan’s recruitment, maintaining consistent efforts and providing ample visit opportunities, making a return visit crucial for the Volunteers.
